Overview
Blood Bank is responsible for transfusion testing (blood type, irregular antibodies, cross-matching, etc.) when patients require a transfusion, as well as managing, storing, and distributing blood products for transfusion. We also collect autologous blood for elective surgery patients, and perform testing, freezing, and thawing of hematopoietic stem cells contained in bone marrow, umbilical cord blood, and peripheral blood for transplantation in CAR-T therapy. We also collect bone marrow and peripheral blood stem cells for transplantation. To ensure that patients receive safe and appropriate transfusion blood products, transplant cells, and regenerative medicine products, Blood Bank trains its personnel, establishes a comprehensive quality control system, and performs repeated checks. Many patients require transfusions and transplants, and we work daily with doctors and staff from other departments to provide safe Clinics and transplant care to each and every patient.
