Our philosophy

When Tokai University's founder, Shigeyoshi Matsumae, opened the School of Medicine and its affiliated hospital, he declared, "We aim to establish a new medical system by achieving harmony between humanism and science." At the same time, he said that he would nurture doctors with rich character, broad perspectives, and a sense of mission based on humanism, and that he would "build a hospital that provides emotional support to patients and is warm and full of humanity."

Patient rights and requests to patients

Tokai University Hospital strives to provide high-quality, safe medical care as a "hospital that provides emotional support to patients and is warm and humane." To achieve this, we believe that the relationship of trust between patients and us, the medical providers, is extremely important, and have therefore established "Patient Rights" and "Requests to Patients." Patient Rights
